I have moved on with this and do not use my HP G2 for Hackintosh, its mainly used for Kali Linux for Packet analysis these days, with that said I am using the HP 840 G3 for Hackintosh. I transitioned to OpenCore and Big Sur for this laptop but feel free to continue to ask questions.
My G3 has the BCM84360CS2 mod, I got the module from eBay for $10 and the adapter for $10 off amazon.
Big Sur Beta 5 is working using the below EFI folder. OpenCore 6.1.0 and latest kexts
Method: USB Big Sur installation
Create an Big Sur Beta5 or Catalina USB installer (google is your friend here, plenty of tutorials there) Mount the EFI partition of your USB installer using Clover Configurator Copy the EFI file attached here. Boot your laptop using F9 and choose the USB installer and follow the prompts

Background
This is my first ’modern’ hack supporting UEFI and my first hack using Clover ’on-the-fly’ patches. My previous hacks
Laptop: Thinkpad T61 / Nvidia NVS 140m Laptop: Dell Latitude E6410 / Nvidia G3100m Desktop: Gigabyte G31 / GeForce 9600 Desktop: Biostar TH55HD / Sapphire Pulse RX580 (Google ’Catalina Biostar TH55HD’ and look for user name deeveedee)
are all perfectly running Catalina and I patched them all ’manually’ - all DSDT patches applied with MaciSL with virtually no Clover on-the-fly patching and all booted Legacy Clover. This UEFI hack was MUCH easier and took about 20 hours vs. a combined hundreds of hours for the old hacks. I wanted a hack that was a little more future proof and I think this is it. I hope you enjoy this as much as I am enjoying it. It is a perfect MacMini8,1.

Now the thing is, it hasn’t been easy to get through to anybody on these forms and that’s the reason why I’m posting this here. To see if anybody could possibly help out. Now mind you, I was on Tony Mack (with the link that I just included above), and was going back and forth with requesting help. Well it didn’t take long and I definitely got some good response. In fact there was a person on their by the name of ’sdascalescu’Who had not only talk to me about the success he had with installing Catalina but also told me that it was not going to be possible to install 10.15.7 but rather 10.15.3 due to the AMD RX 580 primary output which is set by default to HDMI which basically makes the laptop monitor unusable, but will allow you to use an external monitor.
As we went back and forth on this, I guess the moderators felt not too comfortable with him supplying his EFI file (which I’m glad I downloaded immediately), but the way he compress a file he used an RAR compression program instead of a zip compression program. And as some of us already know sometimes when you reopen an RAR file, that the DSDT files can get jacked up a bit at times. In any case, I used his EFI file and try to install 10.15.7 to no avail. In the meantime I was trying hard and spent quite a few hours trying to find the full install two 10.15.3 and could not find it somehow except on a torrent website. Of course it’s an older file so it’s not easy to download because there’s not a lot peers on their supplying this file anymore. Once I mentioned this on Tony my they quickly banned me and also pretty much got rid of all the commentary that we had that created a page and 1/2 of useful dialogue and I even think that that other person got banned as well for supplying that EFI file.
It’s pretty frustrating at times to work with people that show no compassion or understanding, especially when you’re dealing with a hacked OS system. As some of you know, I’ve been doing this now for over 10 years and have built some of the best Hackintosh systems and have been very grateful to contribute towards being one of the moderators here on insanely Mac hosting “Mac Mod of the Month.” That was a ton of fun! seeing all the incredible creative ideas and builds has been nothing short of amazing!
In any case, I would like to be able to supply this EFI file (in a zip format) and if anybody has the same exact model laptop (or any HP Omen Laptop) with the specs that I have and has had the same kind of installation success as the other people have, please let me know what it is that I need to do to make this work because I am having a tough time installing the software because it keeps on getting locked up so I am not able to install this as of yet. Below is good to be a screenshot of where the installation process stops. I hope that someone will be able to see this and give some input on what to do next. Thank you for taking the time to look at this and I look forward to any help anybody can give, again thank you!

I have moved on with this and do not use my HP G2 for Hackintosh, its mainly used for Kali Linux for Packet analysis these days, with that said I am using the HP 840 G3 for Hackintosh. I transitioned to OpenCore and Big Sur for this laptop but feel free to continue to ask questions.
My G3 has the BCM84360CS2 mod, I got the module from eBay for $10 and the adapter for $10 off amazon.
Big Sur Beta 5 is working using the below EFI folder. OpenCore 6.1.0 and latest kexts
Method: USB Big Sur installation
Create an Big Sur Beta5 or Catalina USB installer (google is your friend here, plenty of tutorials there) Mount the EFI partition of your USB installer using Clover Configurator Copy the EFI file attached here. Boot your laptop using F9 and choose the USB installer and follow the prompts

Background
This is my first ’modern’ hack supporting UEFI and my first hack using Clover ’on-the-fly’ patches. My previous hacks
Laptop: Thinkpad T61 / Nvidia NVS 140m Laptop: Dell Latitude E6410 / Nvidia G3100m Desktop: Gigabyte G31 / GeForce 9600 Desktop: Biostar TH55HD / Sapphire Pulse RX580 (Google ’Catalina Biostar TH55HD’ and look for user name deeveedee)
are all perfectly running Catalina and I patched them all ’manually’ - all DSDT patches applied with MaciSL with virtually no Clover on-the-fly patching and all booted Legacy Clover. This UEFI hack was MUCH easier and took about 20 hours vs. a combined hundreds of hours for the old hacks. I wanted a hack that was a little more future proof and I think this is it. I hope you enjoy this as much as I am enjoying it. It is a perfect MacMini8,1.

I just recently purchased the HP Omen 17-AN012DX laptop, because I saw some links (provided below),That had shown great success with not only installing high Sierra but also (as of late), Catalina installed in this very laptop. Here are the specs

Now the thing is, it hasn’t been easy to get through to anybody on these forms and that’s the reason why I’m posting this here. To see if anybody could possibly help out. Now mind you, I was on Tony Mack (with the link that I just included above), and was going back and forth with requesting help. Well it didn’t take long and I definitely got some good response. In fact there was a person on their by the name of ’sdascalescu’Who had not only talk to me about the success he had with installing Catalina but also told me that it was not going to be possible to install 10.15.7 but rather 10.15.3 due to the AMD RX 580 primary output which is set by default to HDMI which basically makes the laptop monitor unusable, but will allow you to use an external monitor.
As we went back and forth on this, I guess the moderators felt not too comfortable with him supplying his EFI file (which I’m glad I downloaded immediately), but the way he compress a file he used an RAR compression program instead of a zip compression program. And as some of us already know sometimes when you reopen an RAR file, that the DSDT files can get jacked up a bit at times. In any case, I used his EFI file and try to install 10.15.7 to no avail. In the meantime I was trying hard and spent quite a few hours trying to find the full install two 10.15.3 and could not find it somehow except on a torrent website. Of course it’s an older file so it’s not easy to download because there’s not a lot peers on their supplying this file anymore. Once I mentioned this on Tony my they quickly banned me and also pretty much got rid of all the commentary that we had that created a page and 1/2 of useful dialogue and I even think that that other person got banned as well for supplying that EFI file.
It’s pretty frustrating at times to work with people that show no compassion or understanding, especially when you’re dealing with a hacked OS system. Be aware that APFS is compatible only with macOS High Sierra and higher, so earlier versions of OS X or macOS won’t mount an APFS volume. If you want maximum reach, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) is the right choice.
Below the file system format, the Disk Utility dialog box will list another contextual menu, the partition map scheme, which gives you another great tool to create targeted volumes. If you are looking to format a disk that will be shared with Windows users, the MBR scheme and MS-DOS (FAT) are the best choices. For drives used with Intel-based Macs only, the GUID Partition Map should the option to go for.
If you don’t see the partition map scheme option, it is likely because Disk Utility doesn’t list all volumes. This will prohibit Disk Utility from erasing the disk and show you an error message. To address this issue, you should click on the View button located in the top-left side of the Disk Utility dialog box and select “Show All Volumes”. Be aware that APFS is compatible only with macOS High Sierra and higher, so earlier versions of OS X or macOS won’t mount an APFS volume. If you want maximum reach, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) is the right choice.
Below the file system format, the Disk Utility dialog box will list another contextual menu, the partition map scheme, which gives you another great tool to create targeted volumes. If you are looking to format a disk that will be shared with Windows users, the MBR scheme and MS-DOS (FAT) are the best choices. For drives used with Intel-based Macs only, the GUID Partition Map should the option to go for.
If you don’t see the partition map scheme option, it is likely because Disk Utility doesn’t list all volumes. This will prohibit Disk Utility from erasing the disk and show you an error message. To address this issue, you should click on the View button located in the top-left side of the Disk Utility dialog box and select “Show All Volumes”. – go to the regular Flash download page :
– then click on the line Different operating system or browser?
– if you would select anything here, you would see that there’s only versions for intel-Macs here, so click on click here (from the line “If your operating system/browser combination is not displayed, click here for older versions of Adobe Flash Player.”)
– If you scroll down that page, you’ll find a table that indicates which version of Flash is the latest one that’s compatible with your G4/G5-Mac’s version of OSX. At the moment I’m writing this, the latest version for “Mac OS X 10.4+ (Power PC processor)” is Flash Player 10.1.102.64, but for some curious reason you cannot download it straight from the list…

You can develop C++ GUI applications on OS X using Xcode. But Apple’s Developer Tools don’t include any C++ UI libraries, so you’ll have to choose a set of libraries for GUI development.
Qt is a popular one (mainly because it’s also supposed to be cross-platform). It also has its own IDE, Qt Creator, and its own build system. And it’s massively bloated (because it does everything, not just GUIs).
Visual Studio 2019 for Mac. Develop apps and games for iOS, Android and using.NET. Download Visual Studio for Mac. Create and deploy scalable, performant apps using.NET and C# on the Mac. Mac - Good C GUI library for Windows. C qt (14) At one time, I had some interest for Ultimate. Nice license (BSD), an IDE, supports various compilers, used in a number of real world complex applications (quite important!), etc.
There’s also WxWidgets, which is also fairly popular...and no two widgets have a consistent interface, so there’s a moderate learning curve (and frustration). Most other GUI libraries have similar design issues.C Programming Tool For Mac
